Casual 7 Day TourDays 1-3: Leaving the largest cruiser base on the longest inland waterway in Europe at Carrick-on-Shannon, the route meanders lazily alongside the waterway for most of the days through the rejuvenated towns of Keshcarrigan, Ballinamore and Ballyconnell. Days 4-7: Leaving the waterway behind, the Trail passes east through the towns of Redhills and Clones, locations for the filming of The Playboy and The Butcher Boy, and on to the ferry crossing of Lough Erne at Crom Estate. The goal is the highest point of the Trail at Doon, before you head down to the source of the Shannon and the ride home along Lough Allen. Enjoy an opportunity to visit the historic town of Carrick-on-Shannon, go for a day-cruise on the Shannon-Erne Waterway, off-road cycling in Lough Key Forest Park and walking in the beautiful gardens of Hilton Park. Other places of interest are the National Trust Estate at Crom, the House and Estate at Florencecourt, and the show caves at Marble Arch.

At Clones the route turns north west heading for the beauty of Crom Estate and Lough Erne. Leaving Pettigo for the rolling seven mile straight, you will pass over Clareview and through the Castle Archdale Country Park, back into Enniskillen. Days 5-8: Leaving Enniskillen the tour takes you through the Area Of Outstanding Beauty and over scenic Marlbank. The route goes past the source of the Shannon and continues along the old road up above Lough Allen on the descent into Carrick-on-Shannon. Following the meandering of the Shannon-Erne Waterway, the tour loops back round to the ferry crossing at Crom Estate on its way back to Enniskillen. At least six multi-activity options are available along the route, or you can relax with a little cruising, shopping, sightseeing or evening entertainment.
